Vice and Rapture - Released 29 March 2020
Vice and Rapture is Jordan's first album and recorded entirely in his apartment on Cuba Street, Wellington (New Zealand). The album is an ode to the grittier side of humanity, and draws influence from blues rock icons such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, and classic rock bands such as Guns 'n Roses, Metallica and more recently, Clockwork Wolf and Co.
The album is a blend of dark, ponderous numbers such as Vice and Rapture (title track), and My Obsession (track four), and more traditional rock anthems such as Nefarious Liquor (track two). Thematically, the album speaks of over indulgence in certain vices, and how that can lead to a certain type of "rapture", albeit one that often comes with consequence. Think grimy bars, dark alleyways, booze and cigarettes and Vice and Rapture is your soundtrack.
