An Elegant Affair is written for my fiancé and is a love letter both to her and to the period of Hollywood film noir of the 40's and 50's. The Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall era - the quintessential "lady " and "gentleman" and the elegance in which romance was portrayed. Did we love better in the old days? Were we spending more quality time together, and making an effort to 'bring the romance ' into our lives?
